Interview with Michelle Bell from Sensual Scents

Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Michelle Bell and I am from MA. I sell all natural handmade soap, soy candles and other bath products. The name of my shop is Sensual Scents. I love to create beautiful soaps for people to enjoy. The molds I choose are because they are detailed and I think others will enjoy.I have three beautiful children, ages 16, 17 and 18. They are my world. I also love animals, there’s nothing like coming home from my full-time job and my dogs greeting me at the top of the stairs. My full time job is a secretary at an elementary school. I love my job and the people I work with.

What makes you became an artist?
I was on etsy chatting and saw all the wonderful things on there. Was really interested in bath products, so I started making soap, then soy candles, bath salts, milk baths.....look for shower gel, shampoo and all natural laundry soap in the near future. I will be building up my shop within the next few weeks.

When did you start selling at ETSY?
May 2008

What is your favorite product from your shop and why?

They are all my favorite, but the Peppermint/Cranberry soap is my favorite creation.

How do you promote your work?
I promote on facebook, etsy, twitter, my blog (not very good at keeping up on that though), and project wonderful.

Where else can we find your products other than ETSY?
I have my things on Bonanzle, Artfire, Shop Handmade and on my facebook page.
